Addyson Cianciotto

Graduate Student in Biology

Education

  • B.S. in Biology

Research interests

Addyson is interested in quantitative modeling of infectious-disease risks and the evaluation of preventive interventions. Her work examines pathogen transmission pathways, the factors that influence human exposure, and how mathematical models can identify effective risk-reduction strategies.

Current research

  • Developing a quantitative microbial risk assessment for Salmonella across the onion farm-to-fork supply chain.
  • Collecting, organizing, and evaluating data for exposure and risk modeling.

Outside the lab

Played flute and piccolo and served as a high-school drum major.
