Research interests
Miguel is interested in the growth, survival, and control of foodborne pathogens. His research examines how bacterial growth, biofilm formation, and environmental conditions influence microbial responses to antimicrobial treatments and the effectiveness of food-safety interventions.
Current research
- Investigating the growth kinetics of foodborne pathogens on fresh produce and their responses to antimicrobial treatments.
Outside the lab
A worship musician who also enjoys skateboarding, basketball, golf, and solving Rubik’s cubes.
